Eligibility Details:
To qualify for the Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS), the applicant must comply with the following criteria: -
a)
Not more than 45 years during application.
b)
Earn a minimum of Second Class Upper (Honours) or CGPA of 3.5/4.0 at Bachelor level for applicants for Master's and PhD candidate also must have a CGPA 3.5/4.0 or very good results at the level of a Masters degree in the same intended PhD study. In addition, for post-doctoral program, applicants will be evaluated based on the number of books produced, umpire / referee non-journal, patent and copyright portfolio. Taking one of the following English Language Proficiency Test is no more than two years before the date of application. List of tests and minimum score needed:
- IELTS Academic Test with a minimum score of 6,5, or
- Paper-based TOEFL exam with a minimum score of 580 or computer-based test, with a minimum score of 230 or internet-based test with a minimum score of 92.
d)
In very good health condition and certified by a Certified Physician / Medical Professional. The cost of medical examination shall be borne by the applicant
e)
Writing proposals that are relevant to the needs and interests of Malaysia (research-based programs only)
f)
Has filed and obtained entrance into graduate and post-doctoral studies in Malaysia (conditional offer letter will be received at the time of application or have a confirmation of acceptance or affiliation with a university in Malaysia).
